Appelant arrested in Ethiopia

One of our main guests, Yilikal Getnet, for Saturday's demonstration is put under house arrest. He was to meet Norwegian Foreign Ministry and attend the big folk festival in Stavanger on Saturday at 13 We suspect that Blue Party leader's phone has been monitored and as he was leaving for the airport, he was placed under house arrest.

We are shocked but not surprised. This is enough proof of how the Ethiopian authorities gag people. They call themselves democratic, but it is at best in name. Again stop the political leaders in ways that violate human rights.

ENTC condemns the barbaric crimes by the Saudis!

The Ethiopian National Transitional Council (ENTC) leadership and all its members are outraged
by the current unspeakable crimes that are being committed on our Ethiopian brothers and
sisters in Saudi Arabia. Our citizens are being brutally murdered, beaten and thrown to jail. In
addition to this, we are particularly saddened by the outrageous and barbaric acts of organized
youth gangs who single out Ethiopians, beat and force out men from their homes and rape
vulnerable Ethiopian women. ENTC strongly condemns these brutal actions by Saudi security
forces and organized youth gangs and extends its heartfelt sorrow for the victims.

ትልቁ የስልጣን ማማ ላይ ቆሞ አገርና የሚመራ (የሚገዛ አይደለም) የፖለቲካ አካል መንግስት ነው፡፡ ለዜጎቹ ጥቅም፣ ለአገር ደህንነትና ሰላም፣ ብልጽግና ሳይሆን ለስልጣኑና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ጥቅም የሚባዝን የፖለቲካ ቡድን ግን በምንም መስፈርት መንግስት ብሎ መጥራት አይቻልም፡፡ ለእኔ ኢህአዴግም እነደዚህ ነው፡፡ መንግስት የሚያሰኘውን መስፈርት መካከል አንድም ነገር አሟልቶ አይቼው አያውቅም፡፡
