Don't tell us to slow down

For years or two decades the regime in Ethiopia is still a hegemonic in its dominance in electoral politics in the country. The so called EPRDF is still dominating the political landscape of the country with many harsh methods and ruthless actions.

Our country could take as a standard laboratory in the experiment of political instability and economical poverty for the last eight decades. Our country Ethiopia had been through the transition from royal kingdom to military junta dictators and until the communist Marxist revolutionary bourgeois who they called themselves now as revolutionary democrats and /or nameless capitalist. Each of those phases has had its own ups and down in terms of the stability of political system, and on human right issues in our country.
In today’s Ethiopia still human right violation, economic deprivation and even a lack of common basic human necessities are decreasing and become an absurd to the majority. One of the last recent women’s day marathon celebrities that held in Addis was shined by the blue party members in using the day by breaking the fear, and highly clamored to the world that Ethiopians and Ethiopia need time out! From dictators and need political change. They said “we can’t take it any more, we are hungry, we need freedom, we need justice, free political prisoners, free Eskinder, free Andualem, free Abubaker, free Reeyot…..”.
I think it’s our first historical event that women with yellow T. shirts addressing the ninety million people political and economic problem. Yes! They sacrifice themselves and show the grief and suffer of the majority. They run and run until they reach to take out those thorns that are forcibly crowned on the heads of the million. I would say this is the beginning not the end, and we know that the regime draconian court is printing every day their own vocabulary and dictionary to fit its evil, upon our every single bit of thought and actions.
The blue party, the new generation is a good examples in promoting this unique ways of protest and hope that unity (Adinet) political party will take in mind, and lift up this spirit to his future plan for public demonstration which had been announced on social media “the noisy day protest”. The logo of the demo, reminds me the pots and pans protest.
The pots and pans protest has its roots in Chile where people have used it for years as an effective peaceful tool to express civil disobedience. The noisy “Caserolazo” tradition, actually predates the Pinochet regime in Chile but has endured there and spread to other countries as method of showing defiance. So why not in Ethiopia? The blue party ladies already open the curtain and say “we are hungry” then what are we waiting for? There is no peer side now, in our general problem. It’s clear and visible with the sound of these brave Ethiopian women. Soon we will hear inside every Ethiopians kitchen all over Ethiopian people banging pots and pans to make noise, to be heard, and we will see if the regime arresting millions for we are only banging ‘pots and pans’, because we are criminal and terrorist or is it because we are hungry?
It is true that the regimes running round the clock to convince the world that we are in good shape of economic development with the help of the west hypocrites. But the truth on the ground isn’t showing the double digit numbers, instead it shows millions of people who are shrinking with lack of basic necessities and suffer with lack of fundamental freedom of conscience and religion, freedom of thought, belief, opinion, and freedom of self expression including freedom of press and other media of communication, freedom of peaceful assembly, and freedom of association.
Both the west hypocrites and the regime in Ethiopia try to advertise their fake economic growth upon the suffering and grief of millions of Ethiopians as like those Aspirin company’s advertising our headaches. They tell us to slow down because we are in good shape of economic growth, we said no! It is not true, they tell us to slow down and wait while they lock the human gate here and there. It is because of the west aid to the dictators that Africans ’4D’s death, destruction, disease, and despair are a common phenomenon.
Let me say in the spirit of fairness what’s far more often and what that mean two ways repression for people like us who flee from persecution and end up in limbo here in Europe. I and other brothers and sisters here in Norway are a good example in having both those physical and mental torture by hypocrites politician who are supporting the dictators in homeland and denying us a bold truth of persecution in Ethiopia and torching us here equal to the regime that we had in homeland. We live in a society that calls itself as free thinker and very rational and more human, whereas there are still people suffering for two decades, and consider children and adults as numbers not as peoples, and denied a proper human empathy and sanctuary.
There is a concept called Odious debt when loans were made to a repressive tyrant and the money was not used for the exact or intended purpose. So when the tyrant goes, the debt should go otherwise you have people paying for their own repression. That’s why the small groups elites in Ethiopia become millionaire and the rest of the people are paying their debts by whatever kind of repression imposed on them. So if you think you don’t resist the repression to pay the debt in home land and got chance to flee and come to Europe, then there is still other ways of repression to compensate the west asylum politics by biasing to their political appetite for votes and election and used us as tools to deal to their foreign economic interest with those dictators in Africa …we are like a human assets in both side of the world.
Ethiopia is now in the club of extractive industries transparency initiatives EITI, Wait! Let me share you here  professor Alemayehu how he expressed it, the so called EITI - “Clare ‘s Corruption Clubs, the triple ‘C’“. True! Ethiopia is a member of IGAD and soon in WTO those west hypocrites are advocating with their cheesy pick up lines on the regime’s sky high buildings as economic booming. Whereas, children and their mothers are starving for days and sleep one on another, like human pyramid under those the so called sky high buildings floors and corridors in Addis. Millions Ethiopians died with a shortage of food and suffered with high repression of human right violation.
They tell us Ethiopia is applied to join the world trade organization WTO in 2013 and been told to wait until 2015. Those main governmental sectors, who are expected to regulate the country’s trade are biased by the small groups of dictators. There are four sectors in Ministerial levels in the country that regulates the trade. For instance, the foreign affair minster, ministry of industry, the national bank of Ethiopia, and the inland revenue authority. All these are overwhelmed by regimes dictators and their puppets and designed to the interest of their greed, not for the majority of the poor people.
I wonder which product is that makes us a world trade member. What we see these days is the product of human trades in Ethiopia. The country is booming and seen across the world that its citizens scattered every where in the world. I don’t see that much Ethiopian  products here in Norway rather I see a lots of refugees and /or asylum seekers who are suffered and face another round of human misery here in Europe and elsewhere in middle Eastern countries. Is that what it means foreign affairs minster goal in terms of foreign affairs regulating the trade?
I wonder which bank and industry belongs to the majority of Ethiopians these days? This is simply a high way of coordinated robbery by having the legitimacy and certificates of world trade membership and the so called the extractive industries transparency initiaive EITI club membership to give accession to those who are already a government millionaire, not for those forgotten in the streets of Adiss, not for those forgotten and thrown in nowhere of the country, not for those who been robbed their land and thrown in the bush, not for those who are suffered in exile and being exposed for human slavery. Is that what it means the national bank of Ethiopia in terms of fair distribution, accessing and enhancing to its Ethiopian citizens?
The development plans must make economic opportunities available for a greater portion of the population by creating jobs and supporting the local community; not just only to the elites, high ranked military attaches, cadres, and corrupted businessmen.
The political turmoil can not be a solution for every five years political election “the not inclusive election”. The question of the people can not be stopped by jailing and intimidating peoples. The eventual annulment of the 2005 political party election observed the way how it was unfair and how that it still remains with its huge gap between the regime and its people. This gap will never minimize by the fake, the so called EITI certificates and /or with those double digit economic growth numbers.
The dictatorial government should learn from the past and accept the reality that whatever government can rule only as long as they receive replenishment of the needed sources of their power from the cooperation, submission, and obedience of the majority. I therefore, speak my mind and applaud to the blue party women that their sound representing me and the millions as echo verse “we are hungry” in all terms of aspect. I will leave my readers to keep in mind those great women’s spirits with the speed of their running for freedom of speech, for the release of all political prisoners, freedom of conscience, religion, thought, opinion, and for having equal access of human necessities and access of decent life to all citizens. We will never slow down; we will never wait and see ourselves dying slowly. Enjoy the poems of – “LANGSTON HUGHES “
  Go slow they say-
while the bite
of the day is fast-
Go slow, I hear-
while they tell me
you can’t eat here!
You can’t live here!
You can’t work here!
Don’t demonstrate! Wait!-
While they lock the gate.
Am I supposed to be God,
or an angel with wingsaaaaaaaaaaaa
and a halo on my head
while jobless I starved to  dead?
Am I supposed to forgive
and meekly live
Going slow ,slow,slow
slow,slow,slow
slow slow
slow
slow
slow
????
???
