Sunday night police seized a drug party described as historically large. Ten people were arrested.
Armed police struck just as the handover of drugs party should proceed at a parking garage, in Oslo on Monday night, writes Dagbladet.
- The quantity of drugs seized is very large on a national scale and in a historical perspective. In addition, we believe that we have put a key artery for drug importation into Norway out of the game, said police inspector Einar Aas, leader of organized crime division of the Oslo police.
Nine people were arrested in Oslo and one person in Sweden. A Norwegian 45-year-old appointed as principal. Those arrested have backgrounds from different environments. Six of them are Norwegians, one is Pakistani and Bosnian Serb is. The arrested in Sweden is a Dutch woman.
The drug load is probably worth several million kroner and was followed by police through several countries, over the Norwegian border and to the parking facility at Skoyen. Police confirmed that the party is "very large" but would not say how much it's about. The drugs are three different types of fabric drugs, including cocaine.
Two of those arrested in Norway were released. It is expected that seven of the others are produced for remand in Oslo District Court Wednesday or Thursday.
The alleged principal's lawyer, Peter Bonde, stated that his client denies guilt and that he will request the release.
