- Sitting at a reception center for several years is an extreme stress. All my life is on hold, says Vaage.
It was Friday last week that a man stabbed another man in Ha reception center at Nærbø.
Saturday, the day after, the same thing happened again. A 27-year-old Somali stabbed a 23-year-old man. Both victims suffered minor injuries, and police say that there is no connection between episodes.
- These are events that should not surprise us, says Vaage.

The psychiatrist refers to both Norwegian and international research on asylum seekers. It turns out that people who get life on hold in a reception center, incur greater psychological harm than people who have been traumatized by war.
Both violence at reception center at Nærbø, were committed by asylum seekers who entered the country without friends or family. Very understandable, says psychiatrist.
- Unaccompanied have nobody to familiar people to deal with. In this case there were people who had been sitting at the reception for four years. Then little things, just trifles, trigger violent outbursts, said Vaage.
Imprisonment Meeting today
29-year-old from Ethiopia, who stabbed a 52 year old man from Cameroon on Friday, today was produced for remand.
